Chris Nicholls

Founding Master - Wellington College, Thailand
Confirmed

Chris Nicholls is the founding Master of Wellington College Bangkok. He has had an illustrious career in education, beginning at Caterham School in Surrey, a well-known English day/boarding school, where he taught English Literature and led the EAL department. Leaving the UK early in the 2000s, he took up the post of Head of English at Tanglin Trust School in Singapore; after that, he moved to Japan to lead the development of the new Senior School at the British School in Tokyo.

After spending some years founding a new British school in Warsaw, Poland, Chris accepted the offer of a lifetime, to open and run Wellington College Bangkok. He is a strong believer in the progressive philosophy that Wellington is famous for and works closely with the other Wellington Masters, both in England and in China, to ensure that the highest quality of all-round education, and ground-breaking new developments in the field, remain the hallmarks of Wellington College across the world.
