David Edwards

David Edwards is the Head of School for Western International School of Shanghai. David recently served as the Founding Head of School at ISA Science City International School in Guangzhou, as well as Vice-President of Project Development for ISA International Education Group.

Beyond Mainland China, David was Head of Wesley College in Melbourne, Australia, as well as Founding Principal then CEO of GEMS World Academy (Singapore). Additionally, he was Principal of the World’s largest IB school in Singapore, which was the first K-12 School to list on the SGX.

With experience overseeing more than US$1 billion of start-up schools, and with 20 years senior leadership experience in Asia, David was recognized in 2017 as one of Asia’s top 100 CEOs. David holds a Masters in Education Leadership, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Politics.
