Dr Emma Shaw

Dr Shaw has worked in both higher and secondary education for over 20 years. She holds a PhD in Agro-ecology and the use of spiders as part of integrated pest management programs. During this time, Dr Shaw taught BSc Environmental Science at Manchester Metropolitan University as well as conducting a number of post doctoral research projects. Dr Shaw has published numerous peer reviewed journal articles and co-authored an exam preparation book for the IBDP course she now teaches.
In 2012, Dr Shaw joined Prem Tinsulanonda International School to teach IBDP Environmental Systems and Societies. During this time she also works with Sustainable Business Management School in Switzerland to deliver the IBCP program in Sustainable Hospitality. Dr Shaw has been instrumental in a number of major sustainability projects on campus and has worked together with Lynda Rolph and her team during this time to continuously modify and improve sustainable practices on campus.
Dr Shaw is personally dedicated to the environment and sustainability through every aspect of her life and strives to improve people’s understanding and commitment to protecting and regenerating the world’s environment.
