Sean Lynch has been Head of School at Chinese International School since August 2018, after serving for seven years as headmaster in New York City and for 15 years as an educational leader in Paris. Holding French, Irish and American nationalities, educated in Austria, England, France and the United States, and speaking several languages, Sean received his Bachelor of Arts from Yale. In addition, he has earned advanced degrees from Sciences Po Paris, as well as executive certification from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, the Stanford Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program, and INSEAD. Sean is a Klingenstein Fellow of Columbia University Teachers College and a recipient of the Palmes Académiques from the French government for contributions to the advancement of French culture around the world. He is also an educational advisor to the Green Schools Alliance and a board member at the Hong Kong-based, student-led Support! International Foundation.
