Simon Probert

Simon Probert has worked in International Schools in Asia for over 12 years, as a History teacher, Head of Department, Director of Studies, and is currently in a whole school Deputy Head role at Harrow Shanghai. He has a particular interest in curriculum development, and how it can be adapted to meet student need. This is seen in the work he is currently doing in his doctorate, which is focused on student identity and perceptions of internationalism in International Schools. As part of his research, he recently published a paper examining attempts to transfer East Asian Maths to schools in the UK and will shortly publish a second paper looking at how international schools can shift their curriculum to meet the evolving shift towards local families and students.
