Dr David Porritt is the Principal at Budapest British International School, an IB World School in Hungary. He has been a Headteacher and Principal for 25 years in the UK, Singapore, The Netherlands and China.
David’s Doctorate in Education specifically explored the effects of becoming a coach and adopting a coaching approach to leadership work in schools. His research identified that becoming a coach is a powerful mechanism to promote one’s resilience, particularly in terms of developing self-efficacy and agency. He holds an MBA in Educational Leadership (International), Level 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching and Leadership Mentoring, regularly presents at conferences and online for The Council of British International Schools, coaches individual clients and through working with KAA, promotes coaching programmes in international schools worldwide.
