Helen Olds

Helen Olds has 18 years experience working in leadership positions in international schools in Asia and the Middle East, and she is currently Principal of the British International School Riyadh. Her experience spans the 3-18 age range, including start-up schools/campuses through to growth and development of well established international schools. She has experience in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors, including single campus and multi-campus models. Her curriculum experience includes the English National Curriculum, the International Primary/Middle Years Curriculum, (I) GCSEs, AS/A Level and the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme. She is passionate about providing high quality learning and co-curricular experiences for students, with a strong emphasis on student well-being. Additionally, she recognises the importance of robust and high standards across international education, supporting this through inspection and accreditation. Helen recognises the power of collaboration, facilitated through organisations such as Teach Middle East, allowing us to learn together and improve educational experiences for students in our care.
