Matthew Lee

Matthew Lee is a Deputy Headteacher responsible for Inclusion at ICS Amman, which was recently awarded the International School of the Year for Inclusion, became the first international school to achieve the UK’s Inclusion Quality Mark, and is the BSME network lead school for EAL. Matthew Lee enjoys researching how international schools can improve their provision in a range of inclusive areas, and he has recently published on international school student support structures, the unique benefits and challenges for support staff in international schools, and supporting marginalised groups in international schools.

Matthew Lee is completing a PhD in Social Justice and Education at Lancaster University, specializing in understandings of inclusion and supporting transition. He has led inclusion departments across three continents for over a decade, and in his spare time enjoys reading classic literature and continental philosophy.
