Shagufa Kidwai

Shagufa Kidwai is a passionate educator with more than 26 years of teaching and leadership experience. Shagufa holds an MPhil degree in Applied Chemistry and an MA in Educational Leadership and Management. Her experience of research goes back to 1995 when, as a senior research fellow, she was deeply involved in the research studying the impact of metal corrosion on the environment and developing compounds that inhibit corrosion. After 8 years of high school teaching experience in the Republic of Seychelles, she relocated to Dubai. Having worked at Pristine Private School since 2005 in different capacities, as a Subject Lead, and Head of Senior School, Shagufa took over as a Principal in 2015. Shagufa’s commitment and passion to bringing about a difference in the life of each student and equip them with a broad repertoire of skills to be successful in the future never ceases to motivate her, every single day of her professional life. A teacher at heart, Shagufa strives to create a safe, warm, and conducive learning environment that can impact all stakeholders positively. She believes in creating a supportive, engaging and inclusive environment where every member feels valued and empowered to avail opportunities to grow and succeed.
