Soha Hmaidan

Soha Hmaidan is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in Advancement across various industries, including higher education, healthcare, and independent schools. She has worked in Lebanon, Jordan, and the USA, developing expertise in fundraising, advancement services, and alumni relations. Currently, as the chief advancement officer at King’s Academy, a leading co-ed day and boarding independent school in Jordan, Soha is spearheading the school’s fundraising efforts and alumni engagement activities. Her focus is on driving the school’s strategic priorities and ensuring its financial sustainability through effective campaign planning and execution.

Prior to her role at King’s Academy, Soha served as the associate vice president for advancement services and university events at the American University of Beirut where she worked for over 22 years. Her experience in higher education and independent boarding schools as equipped her with a deep understanding of best practices in advancement strategies and operations, international fundraising, donor relations, alumni relations, and parent engagement. Soha has been instrumental in bridging the cultures of advancement between the West and the Middle East, bringing together her knowledge and expertise to create successful campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences.

Soha is an accomplished speaker and has participated in various international conferences. She is a member of the planning committee for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Asia Pacific to be held in May 2023. Additionally, Soha has helped organize two CASE MENA conferences in Dubai and chaired the last planning committee. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut, and is a certified professional in Human Resources and Compensation. With her extensive experience in alumni engagement at international schools, Soha is a sought-after executive who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. Her leadership and strategic vision have helped schools achieve their fundraising goals and foster strong alumni relationships that contribute to their long-term success.
