Overview

Being promoted to a management position can be an exciting step in furthering your career. Nevertheless, undertaking the new challenges that arise from managing people and ever-changing landscapes can also feel like a daunting task.

As a manager you need to be compassionate, emotionally intelligent, and responsive to unexperienced and unexpected situations.

Our Strategies for Emerging Managers in International Schools course gives you the core practical skills to manage and lead your teams to success. Specially designed for educators who may be new to management or not had management development opportunities, it tackles the key elements of line management, from goal setting to delegation.

Through practical group workshops, individual questionnaires, and reflective learning, understand different leadership styles and which one works best for you and your team. Leave the day with the skills to deal with some of the more difficult aspects of people management, including balancing the commitments of teaching and managing a team, mobilising effective communication to motivate your team, managing the change from peer to leading colleagues, and how to establish yourself as a credible leader.

Our virtual courses have been designed with you in mind. From group exercises in breakout rooms to live chat, whiteboards and interactive polls, we use a range of tools and techniques to ensure that you can connect with your trainer; network and share best practice with your peers and leave the day with the skills you need.

Our courses provide you with an interactive and engaging learning environment that can be accessed from any location, helping you to continue to connect, learn and grow. Click here to discover more!
