4 Conference Streams

Leadership and Workforce

This stream will provide actionable insights about how to lead effectively in the rapidly evolving Asian international schools sector, as well as explore how best to recruit, retain, and upskill outstanding teaching talent. This stream also focuses on the future of the Asian international schools sector and how senior leadership teams can establish meaningful and equitable DEIJ strategies within their schools.

Safeguarding and Wellbeing

This stream focuses on the importance of establishing a whole-school and intersectional approach to staff and students’ social and emotional wellbeing. Specific emphasis will be placed on how to support the wellbeing of staff who oversee safeguarding initiatives within schools, the nuances of safeguarding and wellbeing initiatives in the context of SEND provision, how to ensure that children are empowered to safeguard themselves online, and ways to proactively cultivate a school culture that empowers children to recognise and disclose abuse.

EdTech and Management

This stream will explore innovations in EdTech – with a particular focus on advancements in digital technology and Extended Reality – and how these can be implemented in classroom environments. Additionally, delegates will hear how school leadership teams can effectively leverage data analysis to inform marketing and student recruitment strategies. The stream will also highlight how international schools can contribute to global commitments to sustainability, respond agilely to evolving educational reforms, and re-institute school communities in the wake of the pandemic.

Teaching and Learning

This stream will cover the key trends and challenges that are presently impacting teaching and learning in Asian international schools. It will provide educators with insights about how to establish a culture of bilingualism within their school, enhance engagement between international schools and their local community through meaningful and equitable partnerships, and equip students with twenty-first century competencies. An integral component of this stream will be the importance of fostering intercultural learning by embedding DEIJ into curricula, innovating assessment practices, and preparing international students for future pathways.
