Overview

***PROGRAMME UPDATE – OFSTED NOW CONFIRMED***

From May 2016, under the new SEND Inspections framework, Ofsted and CQC will jointly assess how “local areas”, work together to identify, assess and meet the needs of children and young people with SEND.

Ofsted and CQC will be inspecting all local areas under this new framework. Organisations must therefore ensure that they have a clear strategic plan that sets out defined priorities and outcomes for their SEND practices, as well as the tools to self-evaluate their performance.

This Implementing the SEND Inspections Framework course, chaired by SEND consultant and former president of NASEN Tricia Murphy, will provide the latest guidance, best practice examples and practical tools to prepare and prosper under the new SEND inspection environment.

Delegates will learn how to overcome the challenges of multi-agency collaboration, assess and support SEND pupils and use data to effectively demonstrate and evaluate performance.
