Overview

Lord Carter’s report highlighted that NHS trusts spend £9 billion on procurement, whilst setting out a series of recommendations. Lord Carter states that if his recommendations are followed then the NHS can save £1 billion through the better procurement of services.

By implementing  more effective procurement strategies; NHS trusts will be in a much better position to manage their supply chains, engage with their suppliers to get the best services and drive value for money.

This A Guide to Effective Procurement in the NHS course, led by the Chair of the HCSA Helen Lisle, will give delegates the practical tools and skills to help NHS trusts improve their procurement of services.
