Overview

The complex nature of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLs) and the continued difficulty in implementing the Care Act, is having a significant impact on adult safeguarding services. By fully understanding the adult safeguarding policy landscape, organisations will be in a much stronger position to protect vulnerable adults.

This Ensuring Effective Adult Safeguarding course will give delegates the necessary practical advice to manage DoLs and the Care Act, and learn how to work with other organisations to safeguard adults.

Working with the Chair, Sarah Mitchell, Former Director at the Local Government Association (LGA), delegates will develop strategies to help safeguarding adults, understand how to create a personalised approach and gain a greater appreciation of multi-agency working.
