Overview

With over 12,000 avoidable deaths every year and the publication of the 2015 Serious Incident Framework, it is now vital for healthcare professionals to understand the responsibilities and actions for dealing with Serious Incidents and the tools available.

This highly interactive Improving Patient Safety Investigations course will help develop more effective processes and procedures to ensure that Serious Incidents are identified correctly, investigated thoroughly and learned from to prevent the likelihood of similar incidents happening again.

Join Dr. Suzanne Shale and learn how to develop early actions to remedy failing, interact sensitively with patients or families who have been harmed and mitigate error through human factors analysis.
