Overview

The Higher Education and Research Act 2017 clearly positions students as consumers within the higher education (HE) market. The creation of the Office for Students to ‘promote quality, and greater choice and opportunities for students and to promote value for money’ emphasises the importance of student experience within this competitive environment.

Despite HE institutions in the UK continuing to offer one of the greatest student experiences in the global market, there has been a recent decrease in the satisfaction rate of students in regards to student experience. The falling number of student applications from domestic and EU students only compounds this growing concern.

This Improving Student Experience and Engagement course, gives you the necessary tools to improve services by expanding your curriculum offer, enhancing employability and by utilising data to achieve positive outcomes for your students. Led by student engagement expert Alex Bols, leave the day with clear strategies and tools to effectively measure student experience, utilise data to enhance their experience and design better services for students.
