Overview

The new ‘Standard for teachers’ professional development’, published by the Department for Education in July 2016, sets out a clear description of effective practice in professional development for teachers.

Ensuring access to continuing professional development (CPD) and building tools to help teachers to transform their practice is now vital to secure high teaching standards and achieve success for all pupils.

This Supporting Teachers’ Professional Development course, chaired by David Weston, will help creating a framework for effective teachers’ CPD and ensure compliance with Ofsted’s requirement of a motivated, respected and effective teaching staff.

In just one day, delegates will develop an effective Teachers’ Professional Development Plan and take away tools and resources to collaborate, progress and continuously improve their practice.
